In 1918, the company was on a steady rise to the top, and began construction of worker homes in Youngstown/Campbell, Ohio. The homes were built between 1918-1920, and became historically important as the first pre-fab concrete estate in the world.
Whether or not you like the idea of war, it happens. It will continue to happen. As cool as it would be, it would most likely be impossible to have everyone in the world in agreement. They were also the first to institute paid maternity leave, set a 36-hour work week, and offer corporate stock options. Such progressive ideas led to the federal government basing many workplace regulation laws we still see today off of Richman standards.
