Today’s photo album is one of an abandoned Days Inn found while exploring down south in 2015. How many people recognize the city?

We abandoned the skies when we grew up and refused to fly. We refused to reach such incredible heights. It’s a shame, when we don’t see life the same as it was through a child’s eyes. When we can’t remember that beauty, imagination quickly dies. Too many of us have grown up, but are no longer alive.

The Blue Horizon – a beautiful, historic boxing venue in Philadelphia. The venue formerly held 1,500 seats and was even voted the #1 boxing venue in the world by The Ring magazine. So, how exactly did it come to be abandoned and nearly forgotten about?

Over the summer, I was given the opportunity to visit Fairport Harbor West Light House and interview two of the people working to bring the light house back to life.

For nearly 20 years now the hospital grounds have sat, quietly collecting decay, crumbling away behind streets that have now become forests.

By the early 1980s, the Brecksville VA hospital had compiled dozens of convictions, some involving the theft and sale of prescription drugs.

Their families had left them behind, and never once looked back. When these patients would pass away, their bodies were often buried throughout a field with unmarked graves.

The images you see below are those from a Victorian era mansion, eventually turned into a medical clinic so that the doctor could care for patients from his very own home.
