One of the Strangest Abandoned Places I Have Visited
Probably one of the strangest places I have been.
This bowling alley sits vacant, nearly in the middle of nowhere. Climbing through a small entrance in back, I entered into what looked to be a fully functional bowling alley, now abandoned for years
I came to find that I was creating slight foot prints in dust, and cobwebs had wrapped around the base of some chairs. However, pins still remain partly set, as if everyone left during the middle of a session of games. A small layer of dust covered the floors, chairs and bar. A bowling ball even remained in the ball return round about.
The place had such an eerie feel. Some windows had been cracked, and ceiling tiles began to fall.
Ashtrays remain sat at the bar, while the counter collects dust.
No heat left the entire place frigid, cracking the wood.
Shoes sit, tucked into cubbies, untouched and unworn. Who knows how long they may have sat here?
It’s as if nobody has set foot, or bowling shoe in here for quite some time.
Very often, I’m asked what gear I use for my photography, videography, etc. Questions ranging from what type of camera/cameras I use, what lenses I use, backpacks, memory cards, even what type of laptop I recommend, or what type of introductory camera I recommend…all that stuff, and more!
Well, of course I love to recommend camera gear or adventure gear that I trust and love, so at the end of each post I create here on my blog, I like to give a bit of a run-down on gear I use almost all the time!
So here it is! My entire (or most of it) list of photography/editing/adventure gear that I use.

Thanks! It’s worth it for sure! GoPros are awesome little cameras!
I’ve always been so intrigued by old abandoned structures that remain exactly how they were as if the occupants vanished! I was so excited to see the article about your beautiful work on Huffington Post and to discover this type of exploration had an official name! Its so nice to know there are other young people out there who appreciate the stories and history behind these structures and see the beauty where most see trash.Thank you for photographing these time capsules before it was too late. Now you’ve inspired me to start my exploration!
Your photos are amazing. x
Nice ! Where is this alley located?
Your photos are sweet man I dig your style. Hit me up if you ever make it down to Cincinnati and let’s do some shooting.

This is an old post, I know. I played many games of bowling in this building. It was also a party center. It had been for sale for many years and was finally sold recently. Unfortunately, it is now a warehouse for a company that sells garage doors, I believe. They tore all the lanes out and everything. I can’t believe this popped up on your page randomly! This alley is in my hometown where I still live!
