Eastlake North High School

The former North High School in Eastlake, Ohio was demolished in 2019. All that remains now of the old school are memories of the many faculty, students and parents that once walked its halls or attended classes.

The school was one of two high schools in the Willoughby-Eastlake City School District, and was opened in 1957, as the Willoughby Union High School was split into North High School and South High School.

Bukovac is a session musician who has lived in Nashville since 1992, and continued to work as a musician. The new North High School was built on the former baseball fields, while new fields for soccer, baseball and football were placed where the old school once stood.

While this blog post may be a bit different from my others, which are normally full of history and other stories of the place shown, this is one that I simply would like to share the photos of for all of those former students, parents and faculty to look at. I’m hoping that this can bring back some great memories, bring on some nostalgia and hopefully bring many together to tell their stories of their days here. Additionally, it really stands out to me among the many places I’ve photographed, as I had also spent a lot of time here wandering the halls with friends between 2006-2008. It’s always so wild to see something that you remember once so full of life sitting empty and quiet.

I would love to hear as many stories as you would like to share, and perhaps I could even update this blog post with some fun facts of the school’s past if you don’t mind me sharing! Leave a comment below to share your memories!
